hi
i am going to have this surgery soon. i am glad i reviewed this video. now l know what to expect. thank you Dr. Funk.
8 minutes DIY craft work
Rock n roll¡!!!!!!!
i had an arthroscopic labral repair like this about a month ago and still in quite a bit of pain. i was wondering if it was cause for concern until i saw this video... that pain aint gonna subside for a while!
I was in a near fatal motocross accident 39 years ago. One year ago I finally had 3 vertebrae fused in my neck. I have been strength training my body and especially my left shoulder ever since the accident. I have a torn rotator, my bicep is torn at the shoulder, a torn labrum, a cyst the size of my little finger, quadrilateral space syndrome and nerve damage in my elbow which rendered my hand numb. Obviously having been a laborer and bricklayer for 30 years didn't do anything to fix almost having my arm ripped off in that accident. Why do the medical professionals and insurance companies insist on doing therapy for such things knowing full well it does absolutely nothing to actually fix the problems? I even did the mandatory therapy insisted by my insurance company on my shoulder 3 times. Didn't do anything except maybe make it worse.
I used to watch this as a kid because i was interested in the medical field. Revisiting this after a shoulder injury (torn labrum and torn rotator cuff) i’m NERVOUS.
How'd it go?? I have a grade V SLAP tear (fully torn off), full thickness rotator cuff tear & also need a distal claviclectomy. 😳 I'm nervous too. Surgery in 3 days. 🙏
@@lovehealthgratitude still waiting. Work comp is the WORST. Your case sounds absolutely miserable though hoping for the best for you
Bro, I hear you. Torn posterior labrum for me, with surgery on the 26th of this month. Getting pretty nervous
@@markevans7937 finally had mine last week. Its alright pain wise. Its the dependence that’s the worst
@jyoung6366 I believe it, because I don't trust hardly anyone and utterly despise needing someone to help me with anything.
hi. did this patient had difficult to flex fingers too?
Just had this surgery yesterday. Incredibly interesting to watch!
Sir I have clavicle facture and it displace and if it gets paired with natural point without operation then can I participate in the game later
That was awesome for someone going in for this. What skill.
Thanks guys! I’m going to Home Depot later today to get the drills and screws I need to perform this surgery on my left arm later today. Wish me luck! 😊 ❤️ ⚾️
💀
How long would an injury like hers take to heal?
When u fall asleep first at a sleep over💀
Very informative! Thank you!
do those strings stay wtf?
I had this done on my hip in November. Its really cool to see what this looks like.
What's the condition now? I want to ask as i might have to go through this for my shoulder in the coming month
@@IRONMANANISHI just got my shoulder labrum surgery 2 weeks ago. You will be in a sling for 6 weeks after the surgery so be prepared. The first 3 days were the worst in terms of pain. I was only on painkillers the first 2 days after surgery. I have been getting physical therapy that started this week and I will get it for the next 6 weeks. My sling will come off March 15th. Hope this helps a little. You’ll be fine I would suggest get the surgery if you need it
@@mikegraham9095I’m boutta get surgery soon. Do you lift or play sports by bchance? I hope in the long run post surgery that lifting won’t be a problem for me.
@@mikegraham9095 i got the surgery on 20th of March, it's the 3 week now and i am wearing a shoulder immobilizer belt and i have a little pain only while doing slight movement, rest will have to consult doctor on completion of 3rd week. Hope it will be alright soon.
Snooooze. Is he asleep
Thank you! I'm dealing with the same. I've had 2 steroid injections for the pain so far, but considering doing it later this year. You said you went through Mayo Clinic?
thank you for helping me sort through my options
I have range of motion but I feel discomfort and pain when benching. It’s not terrible but I feel the instability. What are the risks of no surgery
Constant Pain and Over time rotator cuff damage do not barbell bench dumbell is better if you have labrum tear
Whats up with that damn music? worst thing while trying to listen
very informative
I tore both quad tendons Wed. See my surgeon this coming up Wed. I’m 50 and very very active. Not sure how surgery will go. I will work hard to be an inspiration to others when it’s all said and done. Thanks for the video.
Lets say you get an mri what then worse case scenario iv had two stingers in two months from wrestling
Get it treated I got 1 30 yr ago inpractice as a wdge buster on kickoff Never improved, and is a significant quality of life impairment. Arguable it ruined my life, undeniably impeded progress and success To tough for my own good Told no one, missed no plays Back then it fell into prior condition eventually which meant insurance wouldn't help so Dr would shrug and say sorry can't do anything for you That is no longer a thing. I quit work a year ago, the majority of my severe pain in multiple other parts has finally gone to mild except the stinger which remains the same Did I mention go get treatment? If you think it's better....go get checked out
@@Chayliss took five months of training only lifted light first two months then back to heavy lifting I'm training again and seems healed
I got it done today. Don’t worry guys. Be brave. Everything will be proper. Hard times create strong men.
I’m gonna talk to my Orthapedic when they do my right knee replaced since I did the left 1 already (conventional knee replacement )
So what about the huge tear at the upper left of the video???
The same happened to me last over two years ago..Slipped and fractured my knee cap went to Orthopaedic had it x-rayed...The Doc said I have two choices to have surgery or just wear leg braces..Pick the legs braces even took a long time to heal, scared of surgery..Wore the braces for over a year ..Better now but still need to do some P.T..I cannot run like I used to ,not yet anyway but I will...
Hi, how are you feeling now? Mine is a sport injury and i picked the braces too also afraid pf surgery and the bones aren't displaced. I'm on my third month and still haven't tried bending it over 20 degree and feels weird.
@@jvmisa905are you doing ok now ? How was the physical therapy
Thank you for sharing your story. It’ll give me inspiration as I begin my journey.
I love happy ending
I have my surgery in 2 weeks. I’m scare of the pain. My first surgery. Ever.
just had this procedure done yesterday
Imagine they strip the screw😭
This information is very helpful and clarifying. I am expected for surgery for MDI of the shoulder and I am extremely nervous since I believe its a 60/40 percent success rate.
I just had this surgery about 4 weeks ago and I have a tiny piece of string (I think it’s a suture) sticking out one of the incision.. are sutures supposed to stay inside the knee?
This is an excellent excellent video mr bob I’m facing same surgery 4-7 level and u sir comforted me 1:15 ❤
Im having this done 6/3/23
I got this done last week and I can’t even believe my knee went through all that 😮
I’m one week into my knee cap injury and I’m hoping my story will be similar to yours
it’s absolutely wild that I can just watch this for free on my phone
You guys are awesome😂😂 God bless your souls❤
Im having mine done by Dr William Emper Bryn Mawr Surgical center 26 april 23 i have a full thickness tear of subscapularis as well as partial tear of infra and supra spinatus chronic hills sach also wish me luck thanks Dr for the video
i’ve had this surgery on my left shoulder aswell i have this on both shoulders the reason i haven’t done it again besides how terrible the recovery was after 6months recovery i returned to football practice and it popped out first contact i still have problems with it and my other i just fight through the pain my shoulder blade also grinds and pops on both sides
